Officially overhauled and re-launched our Android university applications such as ZotFinder while working with other teams (iOS, Web, Design, and Marketing). I was the only Android Engineer on my team and have refactored our legacy codebase from Java to Kotlin, and XML to Jetpack Compose. Another app is currently in the overhaul phase and a third app similar to Twitch will be in the making soon!
First Cloud Internship where I learned AWS such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, IAM, CloudWatch, Cloud Development Kit. Also this is where I created my first full-stack project where the backend was a Lambda triggered by a SNS event and an API that I made and the frontend was comprised of React and Cloudscape UI.
First research experience in addition to hands on Android Development to make an Android application involving Google Machine Learning Kit for Glaucoma patients. Transitioned the application's UI from XML to Jetpack Compose. Ended up being promoted to Android and Web Team Lead before passing down the torch!
First Android Frontend Internship where I learned Jetpack Compose and converted a lot of applications from Kotlin to Java and XML to Compose, this was my first in-person internship where I had my first in-person hackathon
First Android Backend Internship where I collaborated with my mentor on designing a feature in the SiriusXM application with Google's Engage SDK, this is where I learned about Workmanager, Broadcast Receiver, and in general more about the Kotlin language as well as integrating SDKs
